US immigration policy is to get foreign people only when certain skills are not available. There are lot of laws are there to protect US jobs while hiring Foreign persons. And some more may come while increasing immigration. Some times it might not be enforced correctly. It is the mistake of US enforcement agencies and Companies but not the mistake of immigrants. Many immigrants are creating jobs here. Yes you have to complain to authorities if any one violated immigration laws. But there is no use of blaming all the immigrants. There is nothing wrong in increasing immigration with the protection of American jobs. If protection is not enough then you can ask congress to increase more protection of US jobs. But moderate increase of green card is needed. And IV goal will not increase immigration numbers and will not create unemployment in Americans because the persons will stay till getting green card. So it does not make any difference if they increase or not increase GC numbers. But it will make many persons life easier.
I am surprised that I haven�t been banned yet. Since, I am not; I will fight till the end. Now, you fellas must be eagerly waiting for my replies. Though you are not worth my time, but have patience, I am still going to reply to you all one by one, clearing any doubts you might have.

4. Had unpaid driving fines. (Bet she didnt have driving insurance either).
1. documented / undocumented is a matter of immigration status..... no human can be illegal..... an activity can be illegal which makes a person undocumented...... as defined by human law...... but above human law there is another law..... which is defined by an entity more or less we all believe in..... how can a new born child.... a creation of the creator be illegal? delivery of a child is not just a matter of mother.... its a matter of another life being brought into this world..... how can that child be illegal?
2. even felons are not shackled to bed.... unless someone is danger to others..... how can a pregnant woman just about to deliver a child be danger to anyone else.....
3. i lost my wallet few days back.... anyone could lose their wallet sometime or the other ..... it happens..... and during that time we are all driving with a license..... does it mean we all must be shackled to bed when delivering a child......

Good idea and will atleast take us some where.
Good one, Change to workflow should not be an issue, but we should have IV core support and reasonable to pool of money (not peanuts) to make this a success. I would recommend to run a funding drive, specially for this effort once IV core endorses this effort. In day to day life, Everything begins with $, you get what you pay for and nothing is free.

Sorry to hear about your situation. Please talk to your international student office immediately to see if you can withdraw your opt application and also postpone your graduation to December . If that is possible you can continue to take courses in summer and fall and graduate in december 2007 and apply for an OPT in december. That will give you a chance to apply for next years

Your PD is not yet current.
If they have issued GC to you, it was a mistake and you should report it to USCIS to avoid future problems.
There were several discussions on this forum about this issue.
Report to USCIS ASAP that you have been approved by mistake.
I thought with PD of 2004 by now you should be well aware of how Visa bulletins work. :confused:
Either you went into hibernation after filing for your GC back in 2004 or you are just faking your profile.

I called uscis a couple of weeks agoand again today, I was told (by two different resp) that they go by Receipt date.
Yes, they go by the receipt date, which appears on your USCIS online status - they are suppose to go by the date delivered to mail room / receipt date printed on your 797

A lot of people have already sent the flowers and they do not follow the IV nor do they care about polling here.
I think the idea is catching up very fast thru email chains and people are doing this independently
So we will never know, exactly how many people really sent the flower, but still the effect is the same !!!

The collection so far shows 33.33% of the $60K target as of December 11th.
Friends I pledge a $500 donation as soon as the figures reaches 500 less than halfway ... i.e $29,500 and another again once the figure reaches 500 less of $60,000 i.e $59,500. Pappu or any of the core member please let me know once we touch this figures BY 31ST DECEMBER. Till then keep the marathon going.

IV core, in addition to the letters and calls to Congress persons to support HR5882, what else can we do? Several small efforts will likely not cut it for us. We need to pull our efforts together towards one single powerful protest. Any ideas from our advisors?

As per this $20 drive, I tried to contribute thru my Visa Card & it was "repeatedly" prompting card# enter is invalid...I checked/ensured expire date/secure code & info which I entered is correct but repeatedlly it was prompting same message...Anybody from IV can help whats wrong with the web page?

Of course Fred. Your PD will be current in next month September. So, they should be approving cases from Sept. 1 and not now.
Is TSC again playing a false sport as they did last year by consuming most of the numbers by giving GC to 2006 filers ?
It's actually more scary to me. May be again the deserving candidates will have to wait for another spill over next year.

Please dear god..... let them consider priority date instead of the notice date. Mine is Oct 15th 2007. Our priority dates were current for three times and our application never touched, all our friends March 2006 to Jun 2006 filers got their cards a couple of years ago....:rolleyes:
