With that short reply Dustyn is now armed with all of the information he needs to make a long-term purchasing decision at his post production facility.
The tag line "Sent from my iPad" contains more information than the reply itself.

It's easy for you guys to say "provide proof" when you know as well as I do that much of this information, and the full story of how this all happened will never see the light of day. Thats basically the lazy mans out...I could easily have said provide proof that these techniques did not lead to the killing of O.B.L.
I never said water boarding was used, but I have heard interviews on more than one radio station that claim "Enhanced Techniques" such as subjecting the interviewee (in this case K.S.M.) to extreme cold which required him to be hospitalized, having him wear a bra, playing loud music 24/7, etc..were used and provided bits and pieces of information that led to the killing O.B.L.
Many forum members here in the past have claimed that these methods also fall under the classification of torture, so what if information obtained using these methods led to the death of O.B.L.?
As for the poster who asked what has been gained by his death, its called retribution.

Making parts is one thing, we can all make parts, we can all go into our garage and make a random widget. We can make hundreds of those widgets.
But - here is the kicker -
We need someone to buy those widgets.
If no one buys the widgets, we can't make the widgets, and in this scenario Apple sell the widget to the end user. The game is with Apple, not the parts supplier.
Good luck making the parts Apple need in your garage.

Wait, I thought the "Castle in the Sky" saying had a negative connotation ?
A phrase or colloquialism which is a reference to the full metaphor "[He/She] has built castles in the sky but lives in squalor on the ground." This is usually intended to be a criticism of any person who has a rich imagination but does not benefit from it in any measurable or practical way. As an example: A "starving artist". It is to say that a person's reality is quite different from their imagined life.
People think it's a nice name for a service ?

Android OS devices were as a group moving full steam ahead due to VZW not having the iPhone. But, we're already seeing the Android surge slow some as VZW customers that were buying Android devices simply to have the closest thing to an iPhone no longer need to make such a compromise AND Android based tablets are falling well short of expectations...even various Android-favoring blogs are admitting such. I don't think that means Android is in trouble, I just think that Android is not going to crush iOS like some thought 3-9 months ago. What will be interesting are results from VZW for a full quarter with the iPhone and the next two years as existing customers with Android devices are due for upgrades...what will they choose.
Apple clearly has the momentum still and to their benefit they are slowly and strategically working all screens...handheld, tablet, computer, portable gaming, console gaming and living room. iOS apps coming to Macs in just a few months. I think it is widely expected that we will soon be seeing an Apple TV refresh or a "full" Apple engineered TV with iOS app capabilities.
As newbies to Apple, and especially iOS, really hone in on being able to buy an app once and run on all these, or at least more than one, screen, the attractiveness of Android will diminish. Google certainly has the resources to likewise compete...but will they? I think Amazon can too, if they want to. Facebook shouldn't even try...no FB phone, please! Time will tell.

BMWs are sort of like Mustangs with me. I'm always sort of indifferent to them when new ones are released, but as years go by and they get older, I start to really like them. The E39 M5 is no different. It is in my Top 10 favorite cars of all time, easily. It rides that fine line between sport and luxury so well....Totally agree. The E39 M5 is a modern classic. I almost bought a used one in but opted for a new E46 M3 instead. Sadly, I don't have that anymore but I do miss it.

4.3 and 4.3.1 has been a disaster. The animations are so choppy it makes it almost androidesque. I hope they actually fix it this time rather than just patching a jailbreak. I wish I could go back to 4.2.1 where the phone was actually stable and smooth.
I noticed the same after upgrading to 4.3.x on my iPad.
The UI is no longer as responsive as it used to be, and I also noticed there's a memory leak somewhere; not sure if it's caused by an application or the system itself is not reallocating memory properly.
Powering OFF and restarting it every few days keeps it running better, but I still feel it's slower than before.

It's impossible to be 100% certain is a crap response, because in many cases it is 100% certain, and i've named a few already. Also, the whole financial issue is very debatable and i don't think anyone here has solid figures on it. The only reason it may cost more to execute someone is because of all the appeals and court costs, this can easily be fixed so execution is the most economical way. I'm not going any further into this because my stance that some people are unworthy of life won't change. Peace out girl scout.
And if you get rid of those extra appeals then you will kill more innocent people, and how is that different from murder? And while I'm sure you will claim this is just an emotional argument and ignore it, but what about someone who is mentally handicapped and doesn't know it is wrong? Should they be killed, or treated?
And as far as your argument that in supporting the death penalty you are in good company, I guess you are as long as China, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen are good company, those seem to be the only ones who execute close to the same amount as us or more.

Yes, dressing like a slut is a freedom in the Western World. This however does not mean it is a good idea. A woman who dresses like a slut is advertising that the best thing about them is their body. I don't know about y'all, but I value more than looks so someone who dresses in such bad taste is clearly a thing to avoid.
On the other hand I go out of my way to help women who act and dress well because it is more conductive to business. Ever tried to conduct a business meeting where a woman shows up dress very promiscuously? Seems I'm the only one who can concentrate in those kinds of settings.
There's a time and a place for everything. Eleven is way too young for a girl to be dressing sluttishly. In this case, it's the parents' who need to be taken to task for allowing their daughter to dress and act they way she did.
Whenever women come in with overly exposed cleavage, too short and too tight skirts, it just makes me laugh. Especially when the sit down with that air of seduction. I'm gay so it's really a waste of their time. However, I've often wondered how things would play out if the roles were reversed and men were allowed to wear chest and butt and crotch hugging clothes with bare legs?
Unless a woman's job is to seduce, the workplace should be exactly that, a place for work and clothing should reflect that.

Personally don't get the desire to have push for Tweets. Atleast in my case my world won't come to a screaching halt if I don't get my tweets right away. I have a job and such so I can't afford the time to look at tweets every thirty seconds...cuz...well....I have a job and such. I check them when there is a lul on the action or when I get home.
Then again, I don't have push turned on for my work or personal e-mail accounts either. I want to be in control of my e-mail....not it in control of me.
Steve
Push for @mentions & DMs mostly. Of course push for your timeline tweets would get annoying. I'm a full time software developer BTW. Congrats on having a job in this bad economy!

I'm considering going back to pay as you go. Really. My phone is used least for talking. And although I like to have my apps and internet, it's not worth the $75/month I'm paying for some youtube videos or surfing the web while waiting in the car. Google Voice + buying minutes = WINNING for me. I'll simply sell my iPhone and buy an iPod touch. I'm really hating AT&T right now. I may do something rash today.

Most clients are going to want a quote, so that's what you need to give them. However, if a particular client is happy to pay by the hour, you can choose to do it that way too. Whichever way you do it, communication needs to be clear, so the client doesn't get a nasty shock at the end of the job.
When doing a quote, you're really estimating the number of hours it's going to take you anyway. Estimating accurately is hard when you start, but like anything you get better at it the more you do. I actually created a program to help do estimates eventually, because I hated doing it so much, and it saves me a lot of time.
Am I right in saying you've not worked for another design company before? That makes a lot of things hard for you I think, because in working for someone else you get to learn an awful lot that they won't have taught you at the school. Perhaps you're really set on sticking to the plan of going straight into business, but if it were me, I'd want to do at least a year in another design studio before going out on my own. You see how they do things and can adopt the good, and learn from the not-so-good.
Anyway, whichever way you decide to go, I certainly wish you all the best. :)
Hi. Thanks for the advice and kind words. I would actually love to work for a firm or design company. I would prefer the steady check and the opportunity to learn the ropes. I need to network more. I send out a lot of resumes but no real nibbles yet. I think networking and knocking on doors will probably get my farther than the monster.com approach I've been using :)

I wouldn't suspect the PSU as source of KPs. Never happened in my years of experience with Macs (about few hundreds of units I had in my hands). Ticking sound it's separate issue IMO. Firstly I'd remove all but 1 stick of RAM. If you have more than one, test all separately. HDD (or corrupted files on it) would be a second suspect.

Ummmm.. what if I bought a iPhone 4 at launch. Recently broke it... and now want the white one?
Your out of luck. Under no circumstances will Apple EVER replace a product with another one that is not exactly the same! Period!
What i'm wondering about is when we will get an announcement about it.
If the launch is Wednesday they are leaving it incredibly late!
What are we supposed to do. Base it all on rumor and show up outside stores on Wednesday if we want one? Give me a break!
