I think you might be getting stressed out for no reason vis-a-vis the job market. Most of the people applying (~500k by your estimates) are already on H-1B or L-1. The number of spouses getting EAD is another question.
Just imagine what will happen to the market flooded with EADs. Job market for H1Bs will totally be down. No US companies will hire H1Bs if they get somebody with an EAD. Tonnes of Junior developers and S/W testers will in the market driving the billing rates down even further. It's better to pack up and leave. I have heard from one of the forums here that an estimated 500K people will file this month since all PDs are current. EB-3 mexico + phillipines togther alone will be close to 300K. God help the Job market.
Also minimum wait time will be 500K/140K ~ 4 yrs before they get to process your GC. Add to that the time for namecheck backlog 2+ yrs. So total 6+ yrs before getting GC........

I know that other than the GC and the passport...you don't need any other document. I guess your question can be interpreted as ...would those other documents help if you somehow lose your GC while traveling outside?

He is ***ing desi employer and is counting on me as if he has to take some personal revenge..please kindly suggest all available options..?

IRS has a form to file if your W2 is missing... And you need to file taxes based on your best guess and last paystub with this bad employer... I had similar situation in 2000 and was very confused.. So I can understand your situation... And you need to paperfile.. cannot efile.. you can do on your own or thru any tax consultant... Its simple... These Desi employers won't give W2 to you and to IRS they'll tell they've mailed... So no one can harm them thisway... Only your case with DOL may bear some fruit... Feel free to PM me if need any advice...

Don't know if this would be of any help to 3-year degree holders or not, but World Education Services (WES) has recently changed its policy- it now considers 'selected' Indian 3-year bachelor's degree as equivalent to a US bachelor's degree. WES is a very well-reputed evaluation company.

:) This happens like clockwork after every successful IV event. Infact, we have been waiting for such posts to appear, especially from junior members who have joined recently and its not a surprises that they have anonymous profiles ;)
Guys calm down and don't be defensive. You don't have to explain your successes to anyone. Lets be smart about this and lets learn from our past experiences.
That some anonymous member is asking such questions demonstrates that people who oppose IV agenda are usually arm-chair critics. They have absolutely no idea how phenomenal this event was.

Copanies like INFOSYS are not the culprits. This is going tangenatially. It is the local small desi body shops that suck blood and hold candidates life in their hand because of GC. They should be investigated.
All those big ones were actually small shops. Outplacement is a common practice, the intent of numbers USA and PG is to target anyone who is on H1b and not just desi shops.
So many desi shops or Amricaan shops do outplacement and pay competitive saalaries and have nothing to do with outsourcing. CIBER and Ajilon are huge outplacement companies, but very rarely indulgein visa gouging as they deal only with transfers and involve in transfers only after client agrees to hire the consultant

Discover does not issue a credit card if you are not a PR or citizen..even though you have good credit history..
That is not true at all. Discover was the FIRST to isssue me a Credit card as a student and to this date no problems.

More than anything else, it all depends on your perspective. You simply want to focus on the things that appear to be wrong to you, like mere focus on the -ve comments. You did not list any +ve comments. Maybe you did not see them. Now you can continue to harp and complain about the -ve around you, or you can have a +ve approach and look at things that are good, maybe the comments there are commending and admiring you. Its your choice. Instead of asking others to change something, did you look at the mirror when you got up in the morning. Maybe a change is required in that guy you saw in the mirror.
Stop complaining that the boys are picking on you. Behave like a grown up and don't act as if you are melting because of crticism or -ve comments.
Hope this is the last complain about red/green dots.

Bring IRS in to picture, let them deal these kind of cases...U should be OK in getting W2

My wife's AP was approved today. The receipt date on the original filing was Jun1st.
Since, we had to visit Canada shortly for a conference, we took the invitation letter to the InfoPass appointment. The person at the counter asked us the fax the documents to the Nebraska office and we did that the very same day.
After a week, we received an approval email.
I also had contacted the CSC around 20 days before the infopass appointment, even though I chose the 45 day options while booking the appointment.
Hope this information helps others.

And there's plenty of competition. Essentially, the bill makes the entire state a 287(g) state without the supervision of Department of Homeland Security. The bill's constitutionality seems extremely dubious, but we'll have to wait on the courts and I feel certain that a suit will be filed within days of the governor signing. There is something seriously wrong here.....one gets red dots for even simply truthfully recording answers to some questions asked by administrator......or are the red dots simply to protest/ express displeasure with the fact that my GC process was not as difficult as some other people.......its like "misery likes company" - i am miserable bcos i dont have a GC and hence am pissed off at this guy who despite not being crazy about GC got his in 7 months.........so i will give him red dots..............
Guys - get over it.........look at the general tone of posts from all on this particular thread - GC did not make any "big" change to most folks.......
For the more rational beings - i genuinely hope that you get your gcs within reasonable wait times and the waiting time does not take away from the personal and professional successes you deserve!
I gave you a green, if that helps.. perhaps someone did not notice the EB category in your signature. In any case, I agree it was unfair.
I hope you will stay engaged with the IV community, and help the rest of us in achieving our goals. We need everyone, not just those waiting for a GC, in this effort.
