All the while the real Big Brother, Google, gets surprisingly little scrutiny from the American press.
Well a huge part of that reason is Google responded fairly quickly when ask and kept a smaller file.
On the other hand Apple stayed complete silent hoping it would blow over, kept a larger file and refused to respond until it got pretty out of hand. Now they got caught and press kept on them.
Google kept the press off by responding early on with their reasons and that made them happy. Apple was silent.

I'm still wondering if there are xserves in there.
I heard Apple has been using xserves almost nowhere. Websites and stuff run on Sun's servers.

I have just installed MAMP and created two pages: test.html and info.php. default.html is simply "<p>hello world</p>", and index.php is simply "phpinfo();". When I go to http://localhost:8888/ I see the two files in the folder. If I click on either of the two files I get a blank page. MAMP indicates that the Apache server is running.
Any ideas as to why I'm getting blank pages?

Wow, that is one nasty Danish mockup. I hope it won't look like that.

Here's actually a nice touchscreen iPhone mockup:

I've been in many debates with people about the iPhone and I've always been on the side that Apple just shouldn't do one. Everyone always says that it would sell like hot-cakes because it would be an Apple phone, but my stance has always been that it would have to run on a particular carrier.
But lately I've been thinking about this and what if Apple bucked the system a little. They made a phone which connected directly to your computer and you downloaded the correct carrier setting to. So if you used Verizon, all you had to do is in setup select Verizon or Sprint....
I feel that one of the big problems with mobile phones is the computer connectivity has always been an afterthought, mainly because they're not computer companies. But what if Apple created a new iApp which managed the phone (ran on both Windows and OS X), which made the connectivity easy. This is basically what happened with the iPod.
Would the carriers care that a generic iPhone ran on their network, maybe the stupid ones, but in the long they're lives would be easier, because they wouldn't have to market the phones, just their service (which is where they really make their money).
I also like the idea of using the click wheel to make a retro style digital-rotary phone. However, I doubt Apple would just display the numbers on the screen and not on the unit. So when in dial mode, you would spin the click wheel and the numbers, displayed on the display in a circle, would highlight the number that you were on and then click the center button on the click wheel to select. If you wanted to get really old school, you could have the rotary sounds come through the headphones. Or course you would still be able to dial by your address book or search through a downloaded version of the white or yellow pages (which would naturally sync into your phone whenever you charge it at home, via blue tooth or direct connection to your computer).

If you havent seen any threads on choppy animations and a lag when opening up the Camera app, you likely haven't been to the iPhone forum. My problems are not unique. And if you think about it, 2-3 seconds to have the ability to shoot a picture is still way too long.
And besides, your phone is a full 7 days old. It's brand new! Everyone would expect it to be functioning perfectly. Mine is 10 months-old and feels long in the tooth.
try windoze mobile if you are unhappy? and then complain again......

I still use a Verizon dumbphone. I see no real reason to switch to iphone, simply because I have little interest in the device (plus, I can't afford a data plan right now, which is required when you buy a Verizon smartphone)
Thanks for sharing.

That "Plus" sign means you have more text in the text box, but the text box needs to be bigger to show it on the screen. Just pull the text box a little taller and the plus sign will go away. It is possible that you only have an extra couple of blank spaces in the box. (You may have hit return or the space bar and left them at the end of the text in the text box.)

As a Graphic Designer, when the iPad was announced, this was the first thing I wanted to see. But after experiencing the iPad for over a year, along with a desktop, I don't think this way of working with Photoshop will prove to be beneficial. Lightroom, probably more so.
Just keep it as a Photoshop Express and push the photo adjustment features. Messing with layers, blending modes and brushes I think should remain as features for a desktop for designing.
Lastly, this demo reminds me of JuxtaPoser, a quick two layer masking app.

This is great news if it means the end of mobile me. Die Mobile Me - DIE DIE DIE. Anything will be better than the self centered sounding @me.com. I simply will not use the email address in a professional context. Don't mind @Mac.com, and still use it, but @me.com sends the wrong message.
