mine belongs to NSC..I read in another thread that the FP will expire every 15 months and that may be the reason why most of the July filers are getting FP notice again...
That is not reason.
Here is my situation.
In 2007 august i gave first time fingerprints.
In 2008 august i gave second time fingerprints.
Now i got another fingerprint. My service center is also NSC. There is some thing going on, i dont know why they are sending multiple fingerprints.

I hope others who have not contributed will come forward and contribute.
I think IV need to explain , may be one more time , why is it important to contribute, to me links about contribution look little old and members who are not contributing may not see them important. I very much appreciate all efforts of IV !!!

maybe we should have a 'sounding board' section where such threads can be started where you can cirb all you want about desi companies/consultants and other issues you want to get out of your system. You do realize that many people read these threads. Spritied discussions are great but upto a certain point and if they help the cause.
We are a small community here and all of us are stuck in a problem we DID NOT create. we are a part of a system that is broken. Instead of crying about problems, lets try and figure out ways to solve one for a change.
if people cannot contribute financially, conrtibute your time and talk to people about IV. Try to meet sucessful/influential immigrants and see if they can help us out, see if they can help us with their contacts. Try to seek people who are stuck in this mess and educate them about it. Get leads on people who can help us out.
Start a thread that mentions what you have done to help IV maybe people will learn from that

It looks like not ALL applicants are having a delay in receiving their passport after Visa stamping.
I know couple of my friends received their passport the next day.
(H1 extension - stamping in Chennai)
But I understand from the forum that many people are experiencing delays.
Any thoughts on what kind of applicants are experiencing delays ?
(or) in other words.... What kind of approval information (H1/L1) are delayed in getting into the PIMS system
Example: People renewing the H1-Visa in passport after 1 year of expiry (or)
Time between the H1 approval (in US) and the actual Stamping date in India is less than 1 or 2 months ?

I am certainly not the type to participate in rallies. But I like your thinking and your stand on your points, which I think are not as well expressed as you possibly could.
The only way US Govt is going to worry about solving our problem is if they find it a problem for themselves. And they will find it a problem only when people like you and me start leaving USA in hoards!!
For NOW, the only reason I have applied GC is for EAD for my wife. She is on H1 but doesn't like to work in IT field anymore. Without EAD it's difficult for her to pursue other full-time/part-time careers like fashion designer/teacher etc.,
I have come across at least one-colleague in every client place who left U.S.A - after being here for more than 7 years. And they do have children, houses and handsome salaries. And I know of number of people who have plans to eventually go back. But it's just matter of time and money. If property prices were not crazy in India, I am sure more people would have left by now.
As far as competition with young and talented Indians - I think we are good enough to come this far and should be good enough to compete when we go back :D
The day will come when I will proudly say bye-bye to America and go back to Hyderabad or Bangalore and be happy with better family-life and okay-material life. And guess what, I get to work around the world not just U.S.A.

I would think IT experience is the same anywhere so taking it to canada should be ok? If not there are plenty of other management jobs there. It might be a new start but in a one year timespan you will be well established.
Is it just my wishful thinking?
As for masters, are you persuing MBA? How about PMP?
I think US experience will hold good in canada, at at least in IT. Canadian experience matters for immigrants who directly come from their home countries, never having lived in north america before. The trick is to find a good enough job for your experience level .. what is the point of going there and doing the same kind of job that you were stuck with here ?. That is easier said than done given the limited size of the canadian IT industry. I second your thoughts if you do get a good job, an year or so should be good enough to establish yourself. I fact, I know a couple of guys from my area who moved to canada with their families to escape retrogression, and are now well-settled there with no intention of ever coming back to the US. Why don't we all put an end to finger pointing and concentrate on what we need. If someone is doing wrong or has followed wrong ways, govt may/may not take care of them, it is upto the govt, why do we always blame fellow citizens or immigrants?
We all know, people immigrate doing manipulation, being illegal, over stay visas, jump fences, modify resumes, etc...... at some stage everyone of us would do some level of manipulation so why finger pointing?
Making our lives better and fixing retro is the goal why drag in consulting companies.

Finally I am a US citizen after being 10+ years in this country. This is one of my biggest fulfillments and it means everything to me. US is just not home anymore for me, it is my country.
I wish everyone the best and hope they get GC very soon.

We are not planning on asking members to pay immediately. It is a form of commitment from our members to the amount they are giong to donate.

Folks, I took 100K coverage with I!M_G*G#L^O&B(A)L through the agent I*N*@S#U^B%u^y.
Unfortunately one week before my dad left, I had to take him to ER as he had an attack. The bills came out to 50K+, the insurance company denied all claims saying it is pre-existing.
The hospital and the doctor who attended him at ER as well as the hospital gave me a letter saying it is not pre-existing. But insurance company will not accept it.
The guy at the agent, talks nicely but he says we cannot do anything, just go in understanding with the hospital and pay it in installments. He also says do not file any law suit it is not useful.
All this is total scam, i did pay a huge premium but now i have lots of bills to pay.
So i agree with others, please do your research properly. And do not believe sales guys or agents, they will talk very nicely but when it comes to claims you are on your own...

I know this because the message I posted just before english_august was also repeated 2-3 times. Kindly give others benefit of the doubt before cherry picking their faults.
You are already enjoying the benefit of filing 485/EAD/AP in July-07. Atleast be considerate towards people who contributed their time, energy and resources to - in lot of ways influence the outcome of July visa bulletin.
