Just like switching between tabs using ctrl-tab in Safari and other web browsers I think it would be good to be able to switch between subpanes using the same keyboard shortcut.

Was evaluating OPENSTEP 4.x and WebObjects for my employer back in mid 90's and was blown away by Project Builder and Interface Builder (the grandparents of today's XCode). So glad to see it's not only still around (in a fashion), but thriving! Buying NeXT (and Steve Jobs) back is the best decision Apple ever made.

In the architectural drawing, above the kitchen and below the bedrooms (using the top of the image as up and the bottom of the image as down) there is a rectangular room with an arch inside it. It's not labeled like the rest is. Any ideas what that is?
Initially I thought large pantry due to its location from the kitchen, but the pantry is labeled to the right of that area.
Perhaps a library with round desk / seating? Sitting room with a circular hearth in the middle? Breakfast nook?

I'd like to see the 17" Macbook Pro get L.E.D. backlighting as well as:
• industrial design similar to iPod Touch
• 32GB flash drive
• easy access to hard drive
• 2nd battery bay if optical goes external
• displays STAY matte, with glossy option
Hopefully, the Airport Express will go 802.11n, and the Hi-Fi gets Wifi

Note: I do not endorse anything I say in this post, and as such cant be held liable if you stupidly follow my advice, which is to be taken with a pinch of salt.
visit the house on the pretense that your a sales person selling something, or some form of public service agent - if your good at acting then the con job wont be hard to pull off...
Once you have identified the unit as being yours, attempt once again to get the police help you retrieve it. If that fails then break in and get it yourself, just make sure you do a clean job, study the family for a while to make sure you know when the house is empty or quiet. Then either drill out a lock and bash open the door, or break a window to gain access, if you have the tools pick or bump the lock as that leaves behind the least amount of evidence. Once inside retrieve your goods and leave, if you have picked or bumped the lock it will be a while before they notice. The other methods of entry will be noticed pretty quickly and increase risk on your behalf.
Once inside, just retrieve what is legally yours, nothing else unless you really want to break the law for real... bring some spray paint, a whole lot of dog **** in a big bag + 1/4 stick dynamite and what ever else you want to trash the place with. Spray up the place and then the cherry on the cake is putting the stick in the **** placing it in the center of a room lighting and run :)

Again, there's no egregious violation taking place here, and it's not especially worse than any other way to keep tabs on someone.
Let's reserve the lynching for when we actually find out what this tracking data is for specifically and how widespread the issue is with other companies (i.e., Google, MS, etc.)
If there is no actual cause for concern to the average person (which there really isn't), I fail to see that need to take a flip over it.

Apple makes a lot of the competition look pretty damn stupid on a continual basis, but you can't call attention to it too often, because you'll end up stepping one someone's toes.
My view is: wear thicker boots.
The latest in my rogues gallery of idiots is RIM (first prize for laying the Playbook egg.)

To some extent yes, but with expose in SL, Apple already implements the best of the dock features. But yes, hyperdock would be cool.
In general though I think apple needs to add features to catch up because MS has caught up and surpassed apple with windows 7.

I guess the bottom line for me is this: I see Microsoft working hard and adding features, to improve the OS. I see apple working hard at making OSX act more like an iPad. I also think given that they really didn't provide the consumer features in 10.6 that they should have done that in 10.7. Its not like they didn't have time, given that SL was released in 2009

Heh, I've seen that video it's classic. However, if you were to say fair-is-fair, MS publicly announced their road map for what became Vista before XP even came out. Apple KNEW what MS was working on. No body knew what Apple was working on.

Bull. I had a girlfriend in high school get fired from OfficeMax for being $100 off where she had been working for almost a year. Unfortunately some guy came in that day, paid for two computers and a printer with $100 bills (total was something like $2500, as this was the late 90's). She counted it twice, but apparently one was missed. Corporate policy stated that she could only be off by less than $5 at the end of her shift.
She didn't pocket the money and her manager knew that she didn't, but she still lost her job. Company policy.
Would I like to get an iPad for half price? Absolutely, but ONLY if it was because the company was selling it for half price. I pay what I am supposed to pay.
It's ok. The original poster isn't worried about his fellow man. He's just happy that he got a discounted iPad. This is the reason this country is going down the crapper. Nobody cares about anyone else. Stick it to the man. yeah so what if this kid got fired. It's all about me me me. :(

"I ordered my ACD 23'' online, on August 14th, and I got a display serial number 2A6290, with serious backlight leakage, and a magenta cast on the left side. I am going to the store to exchange it or return it."

i live in the san francisco bay area ---berkeley.
3 years of verizon service >>dropped calls were virtually non-existent
and the only place i couldn't get service was on trips to the russian river.
at first my iphone/att worked pretty well in my home
now...after 1 year the signal in my home has continuously degraded
and become sporadic
my dropped call rate at home has consistently increased
>well over 30% even when the signal indication looks good.
reception and call retention in the city is spotty at best
even if this is just due to a dramatic increase in the use of their network ..
that just means that att has sold services they can't provide.
I really love my iphone and am sorely regretting that i'm going to have to give it up because of att's unacceptable lack of reliable service

Either almost no one is dropping additional calls because of the antenna, or if the issue is more widespread, it is made up for by antenna performance improvements elsewhere. The net result? Same performance as 3GS which no one complained about.
You can either accept that or accuse AT&T and Apple of faking that 1/100 number, in which case your argument is standing in the tinfoil hat section.
