I would try a Mr. Clean Magic eraser on a small spot on the bottom to see how it cleans. It should work well. I used it on my old black MacBook and it made it look like new again. Don't use it on the LCD however. Get Monster LCD cleaning solution (it comes in a blue bottle for like $20). It's well worth it, the consistency of the liquid is a gel type spray so it won't ever run even if you spray directly onto the screen panel itself.

Back to the magic eraser, it removes pesky oily spots that appear to look like wear on the keys/hand rests/track pad. I haven't found any way to officially clean my macbook until I used them.

I didn't pay for the computer!!! it was given to me. I am giving the parents the eMac because xp is just a tad harder than os x ;) I also need a pc for a required computer class. I need to be able to take tests and stuff at home. I yes, I am going to switch back when the mac mini features a one of those intel mobile chips with low wattage.

I've recently noticed- some iLife apps are not working. The biggest concern is iPhoto - I've opened up iPhoto '11 (iLife 11) but it says:

However, and here's the catch - iDVD, iMovie, working. Just a couple apps are not working (I can't check every single one for compatibility). Is this a universal problem? How do I fix it? I have iLife '10 and '09 if that helps but I haven't checked if they work. Either way, I would like to use iLife '11 over either older versions... Thanks!
So I'm not seeing a problem here. Are you saying when you click software update nothing happens? What exactly is the problem?
I'm running 9.1.2 with no problems.

I was after the CoolerMaster Q Aluminium keyboard that toezter has, but it seems to be discontinued.
After a trip to my local evil PC World though (do they ever get any better?!?) I saw a fully brushed aluminium, PB type (but full) keyboard. Looks very, very nice. Pricey at �50, and is USB not wireless. But the major downer is the logo on the keyboard right above the function keys in the centre.....
