Why would they think like that?, USCIS made a mistake. They tried to cover (by making visas unavailable) their ass to save their jobs. Thats why we have congress to help us out.

Did you by any chance speculated to him that application might be in TSC based on LUD on I140?
When he was noting down all my info, I mentioned about LUD on my I-140 (approved) for 8-5-07 and he said.. it does mean anything since they still need to mail applicants receipts no matter what stage is your application is processed under.

My attorney told me that there are several July 2 cases they have not heard back about, although they got receipts for July 19 and later cases long time ago. They told that they are making a formal enquiry. How do they do that I don't know.
I just hope that it is just a normal RIRO, not a lost bundle of applications which was originally marked for rejection/return.

The percentage of people here are a very small percentage of that 25%.
H1/L1 restrictions are not going to encourage american kids. It does not impact their thinking. Maths, science are tougher subjects for kids. Kids in India were pushed by their parents to study science in search for a good career. Kids here have a lot other avenues which are more attractive to a kid. Kids do not understand L1/H1. 90% of adult population here does not understand H1/L1. REstricting H1/L1 will not influence a kid to take up science and engineering.
I have news for you (and the certitude with which you make your claims here are laughable). Computer science graduation rates in US went up this year by 6-8%, because the visa caps since 2003 remained at 65000 instead of 195000 creating some demand here. I personally know kids who wanted to go to Computer science, but went for other areas like health care because of the lack of offshoring/H1 etc. If the crooked Indian offshorers and fly-by-night operators are not driving down the wages, more americans will go to computer science, as they would go for a career as MD or Pharmacist or lawyer (almost all those careers need at least 6-8 years of college). They also know that professional associations like AMA or APhA wouldn't allow importing foreign workers by corporations/hospitals on a scale that H1-bs are imported in IT area

Contrary to what you claim, people are aware of H1s and offshoring(may be so much on the exploitation of L1) as they talk to friends and family and guidance counselors at school. Most of the IT jobs were Indian H1-bs are employed doesn't even need computer science or engineering degree. Some of the best architects I have seen in IT didn't have a computer science major. A green-horn from TCS/INFY with a computer science degree and pretending to be an architect doesn't mean he is the best IT professional available in the market.

congrats and thanks to those grassroot IV members who came up with this campaign. To be honest, I did not think that this would as successful as it turned out.
Even though I was not affected by the July bulletin fiasco (my labor is stuck in BEC for the past 5 years), I was pissed when the USCIS pulled the rug from underneath.
But, what a way to protest! Hats off to all those who participated!!! and a big salute to the The Mahatma:)

I am not sure if u were born as an idiot or became an idiot after being turning a so called "donor".
To be frank I stopped contributing as and when IV started having donor forums.
There are thousands of websites and forums througout the internet to get info and what VKBris posted may not even come close to what Q and Teddy and so many others used to share as a group.
Now coming on to freebies,What benefit does IV provide to past contributors.I have contributed in the past, have been active at the initial stages,have spent my own money and booked airtickets to meet senators.Been a leader in a state chapter.But later realised that it was not worth for this forum which has partitions among so called donors.
Why the heck does any one want to see in a home page about posts on a donor forum.Just hide it and keep it among yourself and discuss .
Now red may follow,and a possible ban.

Believe me its all very simple but has been only possible with news, inputs, suggestions and critique from all its really teamwork. Only together we have been able to come to understand how best we can predict what the future holds for us. Nobody is discounting that advocacy is not important it really is important. If someone is a customer of Teleblend, they should contact them and ask them to provide a matching world plan service. Or else you and your friends will switch to Vonage. You will be surprised how fast teleblend will come up with a better plan than Vonage. In this country customer is the king. Vonage is trying to tie you up with an yearly plan. Wait and get Teleblend or other company to give you a better deal and you will save more money. Vonage is banking on being the first and capturing the market for 1 year before others give a better deal. It had to do it because people were switching to Teleblend, Omma or MagicJack. Now it is time for customers to contact these company senior executives and ask them to give you a good plan if they want you to stick with the company.
For now Vonage is good plan for who call India frequently and costumer service is good (atleast when you are their costumer). This will at least create some competition among the VOIP companies and Indian calling card companies. When some body comes with a better plan or service or Vonage is not doing good than we can switch to other. Competition like this between companies only consumers (like us) gets benefit.

I have read on USCIS web site that it is a quarterly report, this strange report do not have a date on it saying when it was generated. If it is a quarterly report I dont understand why they ran it in the middle of a quarter? This report should be run at the end of the quarter. Not in 1600AD what USCIS considers to be 2009.

Can you update your profile... will help everyone before they reply.
Due to the pending caseload at NSC, the processing time of your I485 application has been extended. Allow extra time for an officer to review your application. Furthermore if all intial evidence was not included with your application or a question arose during adjudication that required a RFE additional time would be needed.
Your application remains awaiting review by an Officer and you will be notified as soon as decision is made. The service is waiting for VISA availability

My question is if my H1B visa gets rejected, can I come to the US on AP (someone in the US will mail me the approved AP)?

1.You depart from the United States; or
2.The person seeking advance parole attempts to enter the United States before a decision is made onthe application.
The answer to my question is in bold, underlined. Hmmm. Doesn't favor me. :(
