Someone call the WAAAAA-Ambulance.....
The emailer is most likely an early adopter who feels cheated...
So is this guy going to write to Steve Jobs every time he finds an iPad on eBay for $100 less than retail? How about 1 auctions?
If TJ Maxx got their hands on enough stock who the F cares and go pick one up if you want one! I'm personally waiting for Gen 2 with FaceTime.

Then please go visit www.csszengarden.com and see how user-applied changes break their designs to the point where elements are covered by others. Those designs usually apply to the W3 standards, and I bet they are far better at this things than either you or me.
Having valid (X)HTML/CSS code doesn't mean it's well-coded. Some designers still think that webpages are static images where they (should) have pixel-perfect control. I hate those websites, some even go to the length of putting actual text content inside a GIF file because the browser couldn't render their 5-pixels-high font correctly.
CSS Zen Garden shows how the web should be coded (XHTML structured content styled with CSS), but some of the designs (CSS files) are bad (yet use valid CSS code).
If you view CSS Zen Garden with CSS disabled, you'll still have access to the content. It won't be pretty, but it'll be there. Content is more important than style (style with no content is useless).

12 petabytes? That doesn't seem like too much, actually. that's 1GB of storage for 12 million customers
I think it is being used to hold media content, not for cloud backup type purposes for individual customers

I know right? Christians are totally equivalent in women's clothing to Muslims. I mean, asking for the skirts to be to their knees, for them to not see midriff, or parts of the breast is totally equivalent to making the wear burkhas. And then there is the audacity to ask for them to not be exposed to butt crack on the beach, simply appalling their curtailing of freedom!
Do you not see how interpretation of what is reasonable is relative? In some cultures women wear long skirts because it's considered promiscuous to show too much leg, yet they also walk around topless.
To suggest that Christians are less oppressive toward women than Muslims is pretty misinformed.

http://www.macrumors.com/images/macrumorsthreadlogo.gif (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/04/07/ataris-greatest-hits-for-iphone-ipad-and-icade/)
Atari has released a new emulator for the iPhone and iPad called Atari's Greatest Hits (http://appshopper.com/games/ataris-greatest-hits) [iTunes (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ataris-greatest-hits/id422966028?mt=8)]. The free universal download comes with Pong and also offers a selection of 100 classic Atari arcade and 2600 console games for in-app purchase. The full list of games can be seen here (http://toucharcade.com/2011/04/06/atari-brings-100-retro-titles-to-ios-in-ataris-greatest-hits/) but include Asteroids, Centipede, Crystal Castles, Gravitar, Star Raiders, Missile Command, Tempest, Battlezone, and much more. Each 4-pack is offered for $0.99 or all 100 games can be purchased for $14.99.
The package has been well received (http://toucharcade.com/2011/04/07/ataris-greatest-hits-review-my-god-its-full-of-pixels/) at sister site TouchArcade, but perhaps most promising is that Atari had previously announced support (http://www.macrumors.com/2011/01/08/ces-2011-icade-for-ipad-magic-mouse-inductive-charger/) for the iCade iPad gaming accessory.

That said, it is unpleasant by its very nature. If you don't think that, I'd suggest watching some documentaries on prison life.
I do watch prison shows, and it's pretty much what i expect it should be. What i see here is people advocating for prisoners to have more freedoms, which i disagree with. The way prisons are now in the US is exactly how they should be. It IS supposed to be a punishment.

Why does it take a media storm for Apple to open up on an issue ? It would be so much better if they more forthcoming and frank before an issue snowballs.
LOL! Well, they lost their crystal ball.

Opera will zoom entire pages, very useful for resizing tiny little thumnail photos or huge images too big for my hpvs17 monitor... if it can be done, why isn't Apple on top of it?

Hmm... I'm gonna avoid this like the plague now.
You will find two things:
This sort of system will be the "price of admission", and
The features and benefits Apple iTV offers will be as compelling for TV as the iPod was for music.
One key benefit for example, is access to your video content including your DVR from anywhere.

They are all still sold. The phone manufacturer doesn't give them away free.

Ok, I bought my new Macbook Pro, now I have to do the hardest part: waiting.
Well, I had a question, I got RAM from newegg, but I was wondering if I should run the computer's initial set-up first, or if I should just open up the computer as soon as I get it and switch out the RAM? Is it better to do one than the other?

How many people here want to choose to get tons of junk mail delivered to their house?
Raise your hand if you'd take that option.
The simple fact that the Financial Times is a UK company and therefore their privacy policy actually means something kind of takes the wind out of your sails somewhat.
Just read their privacy policy and it is clear that they only send you junk email if you explicitly allow it. Plus as an ex-FT subscriber I can state I haven't received any junk mail of any kind.

Like many other mid-sized and large companies, my current company also uses Lotus Notes. One of the features I like about Notes is address search. I can partially type in the name of my colleague and Notes retrieves the rest of the name (without me creating the address book). It gets awefully slow after the local server (meaning, the notebook's internal HD) reaches 1 GB data (for email); So, I had to create new local every 1 GB.
The Mac support for Notes would be good as that might open up a possibility my current employer's IT department might allow MBP for a company-issued notebook. As of now, it is all Dell.
Now that Notes will become more Mac friendly, the only other obstacle would be using AS400 database via Ramba.

Hmm.. 3G and GPS in our MacBooks. Finally MOFOS! For those wondering my iPhone has a unlimited data plan but what I can do is put a Prepaid Sim card in my "supposed" MacBook Pro and if it gets stolen remotely top it up Via internet then eventually the sim card will connect and get online. For those wondering Ireland 90% of the population is like on Pay go.
