Well, everyone wishes the rumour to be true.
But you know what, to realize the increase in fees for the I-485, they should allow people to file for it. Unless people start filing for I-485's they are not going to make the $2billion in 2 yrs. If retrogression continues, guess the fee increase doesn't make much sense.... Not sure whether I am right or wrong here.
Well, you are bringing up a very good point. May be we can setup a webfax event to USCIS, for allowing us to I-485 even if PD is not current, so that they can reap the exact benefit of this fees hike.

Believe it or not, I was about to open a thread like this. And here is the worst part, my AP has been approved 10 days ago, and so far neither the online status changed to approved nor i have received the approval copy. 2 ways I found out my AP was approved was through my local congressman and I took an infopass appointment. In the info pass appointment when I asked what is causing the delay in sending an approved AP, the officer says, if you did not get the approval notice in 45 days, call us back. This after waiting for more than 90days from the date of application. So, its not there until you have it in hand. Merely getting an approval these days is not enough, since they take anywhere upto 45 days to send the approval to you.

And for those who gave reds, I always thought in spite of the gloominess, we still want to ponder at what the new bulletin has is in store. Anyways, thanks to you all too. Have now learnt that discussing future VBs has become a Taboo.
There's always two sides of a coin. Don't think much about people who gave you red but there were also people who gave you green. And in this forum red and green means nothing.
It's just that some frustrated souls gives you RED and some relaxed souls give you GREEN.
There were some frustrated souls out there who gives you RED for everything, who doesn't add any value to this forum.
And I bet even I would get for this comment.

With the current rate of outsourcing happening around in US and the rate of influx of temporary workers coming in on mostly L1 and may be few on H1 B Visas every year through the outsourcing companies , i am sceptical about the future of GC aspirants. With the way of GC processing happening which are caused by restrictions /policies of governing bodies and no sight of positive relief in near future i am little apprehensive about the future.
I feel that there might be no areas that are not impacted by Outsourcing boom . Most of the companies that i see and my friends work ,i see many of the operations are outsourced or planning in place to get outsourced.
with the current rate of outsourcing and subprime mess which may cause slow down in economy , i am not sure if there would be any positions to support our AOS , when our PD becomes current. Some times i think , the fight for GC is even worth it.

I think, there is no harm in calling the cops and let them know what has happened to be on safer side. Especially when you provide them your address, Did you by any chance?
Let them investigate it and find out what is going on. If you want, you can also file a complaint with FTC for phone fraud.

I agree with you. I had also brought to the attention of the moderators about the restraint they need to exercise while closing threads.
Let people discuss about the visa movement dates as long as it doesn't harm/hurt others. Discussing/predicting visa dates is not against the wishes of the larger immigrant community as long as anti-social acts like betting is involved.
I again request the moderators to exercise their power with proper reasoning. If 1000 people wants a thread closed, it is not a proper reason for closing it.
I normally don't post predictions. But I read it sometimes. They will be a few people who post genuine opinions. Their views are sometimes helpful!
Just my thoughts. It's not against anyone.

The thread in fact was closed without any explanation. It appears that there has been several occasions where moderators are just closing the threads without any explanation.

If you think that I have to give you a daily update in writing on what I am doing everyday to support IV, you are up for a surprise because that isn't happening. Before you criticize others, at least think.
By the way, you don't own IV or this forum so please don't act like everyone needs your permission before posting anything on this forum.

For AP renewal, do I need to send photos by mail again? I thought USCIS uses the picture on file. Folks please correct me if I am wrong. Could some one PM me the letter format?
