Well I guess one way to make a point is by having a fax, letter and email campaign to let Businessweek know that they will be boycotted.
The other thing to do is get Businessweek declared into a racist publication and every blog entry should mention it so that any google search should bring mention the same.
We need to plug the pieholes from which this crap flows.......

I received a soft lud on my H1B approved in Nov 2007. All other cases do not have any LUD. I guess it is just the system touching these records as routine maintainence.
but I got soft LUD's on all my cases after using AC21.
Here two things happened
1. applied for h1B transfer using approved I 140
2. sent AC21 letter
so don't know what trigerred the soft LUD's

You see, not all the folks that receive gc are able to utilize the benefits.
I have ton of friends who received their GC two years ago, and now they keep telling everyone that it is no different than being on H1.
All I tell them is I will trade my H1 with their GC, and all they do is Shut up.
Yah, sure, if USA allowed us and our better halves to work unlimited without any doubts of going back abruptly one day, then I would rather stay on H1.
But as we all know, that is not the case.
I have finances and places set up to start business. The only thing holding me back is this damn backlog. My wife has a masters in communications and held a better job than me in India. What is she doing now? Watching my newborn kid play, and offer volunteer services to local hospital.
I am damn sure GC could solve that.
If some people are not able to take benefits of GC, doesnt mean that they should assume the same thing with others.
Things are different with everyone.

Even though your PD is current now it is almost like at the end of the line at 2006. I doubt that your GC will come soon in August - Sep timeframe unless you get real lucky ( with USCIS you never know ).

I am still waiting to see what my RFE was for.
I had another LUD today as well (2/17) (also had one on 2/10, 2/13). wife only had 2/10 and 2/13.

Hi folks,
We had the appt wt infopass the other day.I guess it was just like others,some kinda error and that happened opening the SR wt TSC.They said our case is preadjudicated.and said we may want to check on the case by making an appt wt the center but maybe NOT calling and opening a service request.What a waste of time n energy, all the agony we had to go through!!
NOW guys i have some other issue/question to ask u all.
After the EAD is approved do u necessarily have to be working for the same employer who sponsored for you? Ours is like future appointment.The USCIS wanted some docs from us this June re the appontment/work related.And yesterday when we asked that officer she said our case is preadjuticated as of Oct 2009.So far we have taken couple of paychecks frm the sponsoring company.But then we have our own small business also that has kept us going.And we were thinking of taking more paychecks after the GC is approved.Does that make sense to you guys? or are we at fault?

I got LUD 2/17 and 2/18, same for my wife, 2/17 was RFE message, got my wife's RFE in mail today it was for a serological HIV test which was supposedly required but was not done.
Have yet to receive my RFE yet, hopefully tomorrow.

The amount of effort you guys are throwing in as a TEAM for the GCs (the probability of which is almost negligible if your understand the politics) that drive the process, for the same amount of effort and passion you could create your own government in India and HOPEFULLY set it onto a path of prosperity.

All,
We have a head start on Northern CA lawmakers, but we'd like to galvanize the rest of the state.
We have an excel spreadsheet with the district office info of every CA congressperson. We should just start going through that list and meeting at least a lawmaker or two a week in every sub-region.
It would be great if members from Southern CA and Central CA would get involved. Dial-in to the weekly conference call on Thursdays, and find out how we put a lawmaker meeting together, what works and what doesn't, what to take etc.
Also, if you go to the Resources section of the website -- you'll see the new presentation and edited brochure. Check them out and prepare yourself for conversations with legislators and potential members.

My manager surprised me today saying that I was promoted yesterday from a programmer analyst to a systems analyst. I have an approved i-140 and have filed my 485. My priority date for EB3 is current. I also have a 3 year extension of H1B.
There is no change in the job responsibilities.
Question:
1. How soon should I file my AC21 request?
2. What is the impact of this promotion on my H1B?
3. I have waited for 7 years and I may be close to getting my Green Card. How does the AC 21 impact my pending 485?
I declined my promotion. My manager said that it would take a lot of effort to unwind this promotion. He was not pleased with my request.
Any ideas?
since your duties are the same I would think there was no issue in accepting this promotion. Even teh DOL job codes page mentions that those two titles apply to similar jobs: http://online.onetcenter.org/link/summary/15-1051.00.
you my want to undo the rejection, and go ahead and accept the promotion... confirm with your immigraiton attorney.
Does your immigration attorney say that your H1 needs to be updated with a revised LCA?
