- Nvidia GeForce GTX 460M
- SD Card Slot
- Thunderbolt Port in ADDITION to 2 USB ports.
- Get rid of the bezel around the screen and either make the screen slightly larger or make it black edge similar to MBP.
I would just settle for the i5 and Nvidia chip. As for the collapsable ethernet port... moving parts? ew.

Must be nice to be able to spend all day standing in line. I have to earn my iPad 2 today by going to work. I plan on getting there at 4:00pm sharp, save me a white 32gb with an orange cover please :-)

Mall security is getting anal about sitting in front of stores. They came by and measured out from the store opening and if you are in the way they make you move.
On a good note the Nestle toll house cookie store is starting to open.

At Pascack Hills, I have been on computers running NT4 and Windoze 2000, and both have *rarely* crashed on me. However, it's not common for me to see OS X crash on me. Even when I had 10.1 on my iMac 233 for a short time, it did not crash one time.
My point is that as stable as the Windoze OS is, as you point out, OS X, simply put, is even more stable. Although there are some issues with hardware, usually, that's with upgraded hardware, the OS performs very well under the power of the G4.
I have also heard about XP not crashing as much as the previous OSs. So I'll say it as it is: The Windoze OS is improving, but incremently closer to perfect. If an error pops up, at least explain what should be done about.

thank you ...my skills at navigating are poor!
The harddrive shows up on my desktop but when i go to open it nothing is there?!?!?! when i look at the info it says there is not much space left ??how do i open the files to bring into max?:confused:
Have you made sure you scrolled completely up in that empty Finder window?
And what does it say under "Format" in the GET INFO window of that HDD?
Have you also taken a look into the Trash while the HDD is connected, maybe it somehow landed there?

i had it once, this summer, and i was *really* scared, when they first put an IV drip in my arm (they had to look forever to find a vein :eek:) but after they put the relaxant/whatever in the drip i was fine :p then they wheeled me into the operating room, put a mask on me and i was out before the anaesthesiologist (sp?) was done talking to me. the worst part was waking up in a lot of pain, so they gave me morphine, which made me nauseous, which was actually worse than the pain because try as i might i couldn't throw up...but good luck! i'm sure everything will go great for you, iGary!

I think that no other company has their products come under more scrutiny than Apple. It is amazing. When folks say how the media just falls over Apple and praises them constantly -- it cracks me up. The media is just itching for bad news on Apple, and they are looking in every possible place to find it.
What shocks me is the level of forgiveness that competing tablets against the iPad are getting. Apple is so dominating the tablet-computing sector right now, that the media is just hoping for a contender. Motorola and RIM have both released "Beta Hardware (http://technologizer.com/2011/04/21/the-era-of-beta-hardware/)" to the public and many reviewers are being soft on RIM with even more being soft on Motorola. If Apple released such a product they would get blasted in the media with nobody offering forgiveness.
Case and point... Mossberg on the iPad 2:
"Also, the battery life, while very good, isn�t as strong as I found it to be on the first iPad. In my tough battery test, where I played full-length movies until the battery died, with the screen brightness at about 75% and both Wi-Fi and cellular radios running, the iPad 2 just barely exceeded Apple�s claimed battery life, dying after 10 hours and nine minutes."
Keep in mind that Apple advertises 10 hours and Mossberg got better than that with the brightness setting 25% higher than Apple's default setting. Yet he had to reach to find something to complain about (e.g.: his iPad 1 test unit just happened to have extraordinary battery life -- keep in mind that most reviewers of iPad 2 got better battery life than iPad 1).
Gruber criticizes Mossberg even more in a post called "Bending Over Backwards" (http://daringfireball.net/2011/03/bending_over_backwards). Some of Gruber's points are arguable, but I think he is dead-on in many regards, especially his final quote:
"Stating the plain truth, that the iPad 2 has no serious competition as a mainstream consumer device, doesn�t make you biased. It makes you accurate."
Apple, however, does not get to enjoy the luxury of forgiveness that the media affords to those who are not the market leader. The fact that folks are trying to quantify a thickness difference of 0.2 mm on some units, completely amazes me. I'm sure its within manufacturing specifications and I'm sure that not every single Black iPhone 4 is the same thickness, and yet it is news.

1. I said I had "limited" time to discuss the idea behind the campaign. Limited is the key word. Note, I've not spent significantly more time discussing it than you or others in the thread. I enjoy discussing the idea behind things, trying to get to understand the logic involved. I apologise for expressing an opposing view to the OP. Obviously I have misunderstood the whole concept of a discussion forum.
2. Like another poster above who seems to have incorrectly comprehended my earlier post, I described the campaign as "pathetic". At no point did I describe you, or any other individual as pathetic. There was no personal insults so lets avoid making stuff up, ok?

People seem to be looking in to what was supposed to be a simple bit of fun/rebellion too much. No one cares what record label people are with. It wasn't an attack on labels or the music industry. The point was simple, to have something the complete opposite of X Factor at number 1. We did it, quickly and simply, with minimal fuss, and all from the comfort of sitting in front of our own computers.
If it has made you all feel as though you have more power now to get things done then that's great. I'm really really pleased for you.

I am a big fan of the technology brought into the world by TiVo and ReplayTV, but TiVo has been one of the most amazingly horribly run companies I have ever seen. I am shocked they are still in business...and I guess they can thank Dish for that...
Wow... first I've EVER heard someone say a TV\Satellite Provider's DVR doesn't suck. I got rid of DirecTV cause their DVR sucked.
I went to Comcast, and had a Tivo Series 3 then now a Premier, and you'd have to pry this thing out of my cold dead hands. Tivo is arrogant, like Apple, but can be so because they have a quality product that no competitor touches.
You have your opinion, but anyone with a Tivo would disagree, lol, and you shouldn't be surprised their out of business because people love them, just to clue you in, hehe
