Dude, sorry to hear abt that!
a friend of mine was involved in a rolling bumper car accident ... the lady comes back year and a half later and files a case aganist him..his insurance lawyers fought the case for him.... they won..
The question is..how fast was the car on impact...check with your iinsurance lawyers they may be able to assist you...
dont even think of running away..they issue arrest warrants for traffic ticket violations sometimes...so urs is a little serious..;)

If each person contribute 25% of what they saved from no FEEs raise solution, I am sure we will not have to wait in another backlog DAM and shout for the gates to be opened!
Our contribution of "NOW" would help IV to have the lobbying firm grease those gates or even remove the gates!
Let's not suffocate in another backlog! Let's be safe than sorry!
We have 21,000 members, 14,000 active, so if 10000 contribute $500 that would be 5 Million! Sure that's hefty enough to talk to the lawmaker as they are busy doing the fund raising for the next election. I have been a member of IV for a long time. I think my only contribution is when I contributed a few times for some of the efforts. I come to this forum maybe once in a quarter just hoping to see some good news on the immigration side. I see nothing, feel bad about it and leave without doing anything. Every time I leave thinking that I should start contributing instead of being a useless lurker, but somehow that thought is the end.
My mistake and I apologize to the regular contributors here.
Anyways I am going to contribute now. I have set up a reminder in my calender for every other day to visit IV and discuss with other members about the next approach to take. I am also looking to contribute whether it be writing letters or taking part in rallies or speaking to lawyers about the spillover.
Again I apologize and I am looking forward to our next step towards ending our immigration woes.

Finally I am a US citizen after being 10+ years in this country. This is one of my biggest fulfillments and it means everything to me. US is just not home anymore for me, it is my country.

We advice not to use this template and form. The message and the organization sending it for their advocacy agenda is very important. Even if you change the wording, people will hardly read the letter. They will look at the organization that sent it and its agenda.

If you email or call your Congressmen or Senator, do tell them that you are a member of ImmigrationVoice so that their office can make the connection to your calls, meetings and emails in our advocacy meetings. Another point to note that in person meetings have much more effect than emails. You may get a standard reply to your emails. Sometimes the response may talk about a general immigration position of the senator rather than a specific reply to your question.
BTW do not quote any bill # yet. If you want to talk about Recapture, just say recapture of unused visas for Employment based category.

Read again. I did not call the consultants sleazy. Also, I did not generalize them. My support is followed in the second line.
To me, this statement does not really deliver anything substantial or meaningful. Can you please reiterate?

I am sure many here like me have the same question. Why is that Macaca has to make sure that he answers every single post? Why is that he makes tricky comments (sometimes offensive) and expect everyone to join him? I am with IV for almost 8-9 months now and have contributed to my ability, financially as well as by being active on this forum. But lately I am seeing that Macaca person all over the forum. And frankly it is becoming little annoying now.
I beg the max because I don't think we can do anything without the lobbying firm and other lobbying activities by core, and the contributions are < 20% of the money required. Please convince me that I should stop begging because !@#$%& or explain how to beg when we have < 3% contributing members in 45 days. In other words, please resolve the begging issue (by possibly explaing that we don't need the lobbying firm and/or other things). This is question 1.
The following will be neglible if there is an implementable answer to question 1.
The numbers in the following are low and the list is not complete. Lets assume the complete laundary list with higher numbers.
Consider a retrogressed member X that uses the following quote to decide that Hill (with lobbying firm) and grassroot lobbying is important.

My mistake.. I was under the impression that my contact info is visible. I have already met with my local congressman and submitted a memo. I have got a reply saying they would address this issue as part of impending CIR bill. I was not sure what to make of it, whether he is pro and anti retrogression..
Thanks for updating the profile. pls set up a conf call in your chapter. Announce it on the forum and get people to PM you their email and phone number and then invite them for the call. This will ensure you have commited people who genuinely want to work in the local chapter with you. send an email to IV if you have any question and we will help you. Get in touch with other state chapter leaders that are active (paskal, janilsal, varshadas..etc) for inputs since they are also meeting lawmakers. It is a community effort and everyone needs to make some efforts in order for us to succeed.
